Inserting the filter in a cotton towel increases the capture efficiency from 10% to a minimum of 81%. You get protection comparable to the FFP1 class.

Commonly available drapes are made of cotton. According to some sources, the capture of cotton drapes is only about 10% of viruses. At the Technical University of Liberec, a great idea arose to enable the entire population of the Czech Republic to have an affordable veil with significantly better properties. They used nanofibers and started their laboratory production. In an effort to produce as many filters as possible in the shortest possible time, the technology eventually changed and industrial production began.
The university develops, the manufacturer produces and we provide sales and distribution. Everyone does what they can. Everything is certified and legal. We can submit manufacturer's certificates and purchase invoices to the inspection authorities.
Imagine a paper towel from your home. Our filter material looks very similar, which is 20 cm wide and is either supplied in meter-long belts or in large swaths of 50 m and 500 m. It is made of non-woven polypropylene fabric. So it's a plastic with amazing properties.
And how to use the filter? You can cut about 15 cm from the material. This creates a 15 x 20 cm filter that does not need to be serviced or further modified. Simply put the filter in the drape is done. Then you wear the veil. The filter will reliably last 4 to 6 hours depending on your exertion and breathing. Repeated intermittent wearing is possible, but from a hygienic point of view we do not recommend it. When the drape boils, you boil the drape with the filter. After the drape falls asleep, simply discard the filter, iron the drape and insert a new filter. The price of one filter ranges from 0.04 to 0.12 € / pc.
Choose the most suitable packaging from the menu, according to the number of people you want to protect. The larger the package, the better the price.
We assume a filter size of 15 x 20 cm and a consumption of 2 to 3 filters per day.
If a regular cotton mask retains only 10% of the viruses when inhaled (origin) , so after inserting our filter, the capture on the drape will increase to at least 81%. We state at least because this value can be guaranteed by production. Sure, it's not 100%, but it's already comparable to the FFP1 filtration level. The question immediately arises, why not straight FFP2 and FFP3. We trust the experts in TUL in this regard. They had to compromise somewhere. Something else is production in a laboratory, and something else is mass production in a factory. We believe that if this protection is not sufficient, they will not let the filters go into production.
We think people don't realize that if they mount a BMW engine from Trabant, then Trabant will drive 200 Km / h, but its brakes are not so that Trabant could stop at that speed. It is similar with masks and respirators. The mask will never fit as a respirator. If filtration is to be effective, air must not be sucked outside the filter. And even if it rests, hand on heart, do you strictly follow all the rules of hygiene? Do you know them? If you're scared, why don't you throw away the veil and try to boil it? Why do you admit to taking the virus from the outside to the home? We then watch in horror that people are disinfecting the veil in the microwave, because it was on TV. They will be putting food into it soon!
Our filters are designed for those who cannot afford disposable protective equipment. Be aware that if each of us has an affordable cloth, the risk of infection will be reduced and the virus will not spread.
